Who We Are

We are a community rooted in the hope that Jesus is making all things new.

We believe Jesus is present and at work. Here and now. In us. Through us. Around us.

Our invitation is to join God. To partner with God.

So what does the transforming presence of Jesus look like?

Community

Cultivating connection and belonging together and wherever God puts us. We were made for a life of friendship- with Jesus and with others. According to one study, Denver is the 3rd loneliness city in the U.S.

We want to be an antidote to the loneliness so many of us feel.

Justice

Joining God in God’s work of restorative justice. We look around and see things that are not right. Something within us says, “No, that’s not the way it’s supposed to be!” We believe that, in Christ, God is setting the world right.

Beauty

Living as co-creators with God in our world.

The poets, the painters, the songwriters and gardners, the dancers, chefs, bakers, web and graphic designers, the horticulturists, and architects show us something of what it means to create beauty in this world. But it’s more than that, it’s cultivating safe space for someone, that’s a work of beauty. It’s taking in a sunset and letting your soul settle into the presence of God. It’s holding someone’s story. It’s taking care of this world God so dearly loves. All of this matters deeply to God and reveals God’s beauty.

Wholeness

Pursuing wholeness and healing in our own stories. The fallout of sin is fragmentation and brokenness. We feel that within ourselves. But in Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Christ is putting the broken pieces back together. We desire to take seriously the kindness of God.

How do we pursue wholeness?

According to therapist and author Chuck DeGroat, we seek to grow in 3 ways-

  1. Awareness- paying attention to our own soul, heart, and life

  2. Story - growing in an understanding of our own story

  3. Relationship - healing and wholeness is pursued with others

Worship

We were made for life with God. We gather on Sunday nights to worship God together taking up the practices that God’s people have been taking up for centuries. But worship is so much more than a gathering. Our whole lives are lived in response to the grace and goodness of Jesus. And we want to share that good news with others as we invite people to enjoy life with God, too.

“People who believe in the resurrection, in God making a whole new world in which everything will be set right at last, are unstoppably motivated to work for that new world in the present.”
