The church parking lot is located directly north of the building, accessible from Downing Street.

  • There are other options if the church lot is full. Overflow parking is available in the staff lot at Dora Moore School (accessible from Downing Street).

Free 2-hour street parking is available on both sides of Downing Street. On weekends, the far right lane of 8th Avenue becomes a parking lane, so you can street park on 8th.

Walk

This event takes place in the highly walkable Capitol Hill neighborhood. If you live nearby, take a walk and enjoy caroling at your neighborhood church.

Okay, it might be cold. But you can still ride to church if that’s your thing!

We’ve provided a bicycle rack at the northwest corner of our building for your use.

Public Transit

RTD offers two bus routes with stops within a block of our building: Bus 6 and Bus 12. You can use RTD’s trip planner to find your best route.

What can I expect?

  • Yes. It will be a time of worship celebrating the amazing story of Jesus coming into our world to make all things new. We’ll be singing classic Christmas carols (which are basically hymns of worship to God) and listening to readings from the Christian scriptures.

  • It’s modeled after the traditional pattern of a lessons and carols service, pairing a scripture reading with a well-known carol to retell the beautiful story of Jesus’s love.

But we’re infusing this classic model with a dose of fun and festivity. The atmosphere will be casual, and we’ll have food and drink galore.

  • Kids are always welcome to be part of our worship gatherings! This event is fun and appropriate for all ages.

A station will be open in our gathering space with fun activities for kids. We also have a staffed nursery open and available for infants through preschoolers.

  • You better believe it! There will be pizza and salad for dinner, as well as cookies and other sweets for dessert.

And would any carol sing-along be complete without a hot cocoa bar with all your favorite toppings?

  • Feel free to wear a festive Christmas sweater. No dress code, come as you are.

  • We’ll start at 5pm. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early to find a seat, use the restroom, and get comfortable.

  • Our building is an older facility with many of the accessibility challenges that come with that. But we are doing our best to provide a safe and accessible experience for you.

Our main entrance (the one facing Downing Street) is equipped with an automatic door opener. A ramp will lead you from street level down to the first floor, where you’ll find our gathering space.

Accessible restrooms are available on the first floor. Ask someone from our welcome team to help you find your way.
